Okay so I already blogged about my awful luck with my car so that everyone already knows. I am not real sure if I mentioned that one day after class, on Wednesday, which is the day that I have three classes and do not get out until 3 or 3:30. Well I walked out and went to start my car and it would not start. Well I left it over night and I left with my best friend. Well my grandparents came up the next day to get it and it started right up for them. My grandpa figured my starter was going bad and said we would just wait until it went completely out to put the new one in it. Well my mom works like 5 minutes from home so she started driving my car so just in case something does happen we do not have to come to Lima, so I drive her car to class now. Well, yesterday morning she went to take it to work and it would not start and I had ended up not waking up for class and when I had gotten up and gotten ready to observe for PT it would not start either. My grandpa had come out to put the new starter in it and then he realized my car was in DRIVE! Wow, did I feel like an idiot but not completely because my mom did not realize it either. But I had remembered that the day before I had driven it and was on my way home from school and I had to pee really bad so when I got home I was in such a hurry that I must of kept my foot on the brake and just shut the car off and did not put it in park. Needless to say, I am a blonde brunette. A little embarrassing but I figured someone would get a chuckle out of it.
Trust me I know exactly how you feel! I've been in a sticky situation where I really needed my car and at that exact moment it would not start. I jiggled the steering wheel, pressed the pedals, and I even honked the horn. Nothing happened. So I started to panic because I was going to be late for practice. Well I'm in basketball and I have a huge bag to carry all my stuff in and I was already running late so I just threw it in the passenger seat when I got in the car. Well I did not realize that when I I'd that it somehow knocked my shifter thing into drive and that, as you know, prevents the car from starting. I was so embarrassed when my coach asked me why I was late that I made up some excuse about my period because all my coaches are guys and they didn't want to hear about that stuff. So ya I know exactly how you feel!
ReplyDeleteI do this all the time! The worst thing is I always have a friend in the car. All my friends are super smart, so when I do it I always get that you are an idoit look. I also get a "ummm Hannah your car is in drive that is why we are not going anywhere." The worst is that I live on one of the busiest road in our town. I mean it is a small town, but it is still hard to back out of my driveway. So I either I have to wait for like an hour of when you see a chance to go you go. So I always try to take the chance and go. Although I jump the gun to go I sometimes have a blonde moment and put it in neutral. So all the cars that I tried so hard not to get mad at me get mad at me, but it is what I have to do just to get out of my crazy driveway. I just hope I get better on my blonde moments because I feel like I should not have more than my blonde friends when I am the brunette in the group. I mean I know they are smart, but I think I get made fun of for being the blondest brunette in my group of friends. That is also including my guy friends! Hopefully your luck gets better, and the car problems go away! Have a great rest of the year! I am pretty sure your luck with cars will change because this one seems a lot less comapre to your other problems.
