Anatomy and Physiology

Today I had my Anatomy and Physiology Lecture and it really is not too bad. I think the only reason I really like it is because I really like learning about the body. I really like learning about where the parts are and the names of them but I also like learning about how they work, it is pretty interesting. We took an exam in there last week and I thought I did pretty well but it turns out otherwise. I did not do that bad, I did better than my first exam but I wanted to do a lot better. I got a B- which is not too bad I suppose. It was over how the cell works and some chemistry stuff. I did not like learning about either one of those so that may be why I did not do very well. I really like my professor he is funny and is good at teaching what he teaches. I feel like I learn a lot more in his class because I like the way he teaches. He makes it fun and gives us quirky ways on how to remember certain things. This helps a lot because I usually remember weird things more often than uninteresting things. This class and my lab are my favorite classes because it was I like to learn about most. I think that if I try a little harder with studying and now that I know how his exams are I will do a lot better on my next ones, hopefully.

  1. First off, if I ever have to take a science class, especially one called Anatomy and Physiology, I am coming to you to do my homework... I mean to help with mine. Anyways, science is my down right worst subject ever, and this class is classified as science right? What you have described here kind of reminds me of what Mrs. Strahley and Mrs. Reigle have taught us in their biology and health classes. In health we learnd about bones and muscles more-so than anything else and in biology I can remember that chapter we had over the cell. Also I remember the cell model we had to do, Brendon and I were up until only God knows when working on the model, something I will never forget. Back to your blog, I remember you telling me about how you only missed like two questions on your first exam or something like that, and the first thing that comes to mind when you say you did not do as well on the second exam is that you slacked off a little bit; shame on you! (Just kidding!). I like the fact that you like your professor. It always helps when you have a great instructor to teach a class, especially when you are not very good at the subject, kind of like how Mr. Glink did with me; he changed my life. Anyways, good luck on the rest of your exams and try a little harder next time!

  2. I really enjoy my anatomy and physiology class too (: I think it's really interesting to learn about the body and how everything works together inside of us. Pretty fascinating and amazing actually. I sometimes wonder why I have to learn about EVERYTHING there is to know about the body if I'm going to be working on teeth (dental hygiene is my major ha!) I guess it's all important in the end to know how everything works. I just had my first lab and lecture exam. I didn't do too bad either, but I still wished I got a little bit of a higher grade. It's sometimes this it's a disadvantage that I have a different lab and lecture teacher. My lecture teacher is great! He does the same thing yours does it sounds like and gives us quirky ways to remember things, but on the other hand my lab teacher is really hard. I can tell she is a perfectionist and everything has to be exactly right or it's all wrong :/ makes me intimidated actually ha! I hope in the end I will just pass the class with what I need to pass. I don't like having that mentality, but with some of these harder classes, that's all I'm shooting for(:

  3. Hello Kayla, it’s good to hear that someone is enjoying some of their classes. I agree with you that it is easier to learn when you like the subject your learning about. I can only imagine how hard it must be to learn all the different parts that keep are body’s going. I don’t think there is anything wrong with a B but, if you want to do better there is nothing wrong with that either. Do you have a study group that you can get in to maybe help you? I find that it helps to have people studying with you. It feels like you have support in what you are doing. It sound like you have your head on straight and your priority’s set. That is what is going to make the difference in your life after college. In the work force they want employees to be driven to succeed and being hard working doesn’t hurt your chances none. Well as for me the thrill of college has worn off a little it has become nothing but work. I don’t know why I would have thought it would be any different. I know that I will never say anything about the person that has the kind of jobs we are going for. I now see that they have earned every penny that they make. Well that is about it for now I am almost at my two hundred and fifty-five word minimal words. So I hope thing continue to go good for you and keep your head up.
